PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Rewilding Rhinos: Be part of the monumental African Parks project to relocate and reintegrate 2000 rhinos into the wild.
Veterinary Experience: Gain hands-on skills in handling African wildlife, including darting, dehorning, and collaring.
Anti-Poaching Efforts: Work alongside the Black Mambas, an all-female anti-poaching unit, and assist with canine unit health screenings.
DAILY ACTIVITIES
Week 1: Hoedspruit – Greater Kruger Area
- Morning: Engage in wildlife handling workshops, focusing on immobilizations and translocations of African species.
- Afternoon: Participate in rhino dehorning operations, a critical step in anti-poaching strategies.
- Evening: Reflect on the day’s activities during group discussions led by expert conservationists.
Visit to Klerksdorp – Rhino Rewilding Project
- Morning: Observe and assist in helicopter darting operations to capture and relocate rhinos.
- Afternoon: Learn about forensic techniques in rhino poaching investigations and participate in community outreach initiatives.
- Evening: Join interactive lectures on conservation medicine and biodiversity challenges.
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCES
Kruger National Park Safari: Spot the Big 5 during a guided safari in one of the world’s most famous wildlife reserves.
Community Outreach: Contribute to local initiatives that support families and livelihoods near national parks.

Lodging:

Meals: Prepared by a private caterer, meals feature a mix of African and international cuisines. Special dietary needs can be accommodated with advance notice.
